Eiger Shipping SA
Eiger Shipping SA is a wholly owned subsidiary of LITASCO SA. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the Company controls over 20 time chartered vessels of over 1.5 million total DWT.
Through vessel and cargo chartering optimization, Eiger Shipping SA ensures secure and cost efficient freight for all of LITASCO Group's cargoes worldwide. Our shipping staffs work closely with the trading department of the LITASCO Group by securing the appropriate tonnage in order to meet trading requirements.
During 2009 the total tonnage shipped was over 50 million metric tonnes of oil and oil products, predominantly for LITASCO Group, but also for other major market participants.
The fleet of Eiger Shipping SA consists of double hull vessels and has an average age of 5 years. Vessel sizes range from ice-class15,000 DWT vessels to 160,000 DWT.
All vessels chartered to LITASCO Group by Eiger Shipping SA are subject to LUKOIL's Vetting Procedures. As of 1st January 2007, LUKOIL became a contributing member of vessel inspections into the OMICF SIRE inspection database.
